Greetings from Freidis Rehabilitation and Disable Center Lira. (FRDC)

Freidis Rehabilitation is a registered charity Non Government Organization that provides rehabilitation services for children with disabilities between ages of 0-18 years. Our program focuses on rehabilitation (physical rehabilitation (orthopedic and plastic surgeries) and social rehabilitation), provision of appliances especially using innovative community rehabilitation approaches, empowerment of vulnerable children and their parents through life and hand skills development as well as lobbying and advocating for the rights of children with disabilities at both the grass root levels and national levels.

Since we started in 2007 we have assisted over 2,950 children with disabilities and 1,750 other vulnerable children. Freidis rehabilitation and disable center is located in northern Uganda in Lira district, Plot No. 56-60 Boroboro Road. FRDC exists to change attitudes to disability and to serve children with disability in northern Uganda.

There has been less intervention in provision of physical rehabilitation services (Health Care Project) in northern Uganda especially to children with disability due to the War which has lasted for over 20years hence the high demand for the service in the region and because of this FRDC would love to partner with donor agencies, individual donors and any other well-wishers in order to help the increasing number of children in need of physical rehabilitation in northern Uganda.

We would also love to partner and share our experiences, success stories and many others through a shared learning with international and local organizations who have the same mission and vision as we do. Therefore we are requesting well wishers both locally and internationally to join hands with us and restore hope and child hood to the children with disabilities in northern Uganda who lost their child hood and who do not know what it means to be a child.

Thank you and best wishes.
